In February, images of hearts abound everywhere you go, from heart-shaped chocolate boxes and balloons to cards and candy. With the excitement of Valentine’s Day, you may have forgotten about another heart-themed holiday celebrated in February: American Heart Month.

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), every year, about 715,000 Americans have a heart attack, making it the No. 1 killer in men and women. Immediate treatment with an automatic external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) significantly increases a cardiac arrest victim’s chances of survival.

American Heart Month is the perfect time to bring an AED into your office. Patterson Dental offers the AED Plus Defibrillator from ZOLL, which not only shocks when needed, but also features Real CPR Help® that guides users through the complete chain of survival. Audio and visual prompts help you rescue with confidence and clarity.

While we truly hope you’ll never need to use an AED, having this technology in your office can save precious lives when an emergency occurs. Contact your Patterson representative or your local branch to learn more.
