I love this time of year. There is something about the twinkling lights and festive holiday music everywhere. I enjoy hot drinks by the Uele Yule? log via my TV. I have lists coming out of my ears of things I need to get done. I’m sure all of you have things to do as well. One thing we cannot forget to do and should be on our list is the “End-of-Year” processing for your practice.

If this is your first time or 17th time running the End-of-Year and you have questions about how to run it, we have included the documentation on how to process within your Eaglesoft folder under the start menu. To access this folder, you will click on the Windows icon in the lower left-hand corner. Click on “all programs”, and you will scroll down to find the Eaglesoft folder. Simply click on the Eaglesoft folder and below you will find the End-of-Year documentation.

However, I’ll make this easier for you. This is a checklist that you can access from the FAQ page:

_____1.  Process End-of-Day following your normal End-of-Day procedures.

_____2.  Perform Backups – Complete 3 separate backups (daily, monthly and yearly).

_____3.  Set up your preference to save your End-of-Year reports to SmartDoc.

_____4.  Process End-of-Month and End-of-Year.

I have included the link for you to make this as simple as possible. Remember to add the End-of -Year processing to your list and make sure you check it twice.

Can you save the end of year reports to SmartDocs without printing them in version 16?

Thank you Kayla for your question. This is a very good question. For Paperless offices- In Version 14.00 and higher, you are no longer required to print the EOY documents in addition to saving them to SmartDoc. If you set your SmartDoc preferences to save your EOY reports, you can uncheck the reports to print during the EOY processing and a copy will still be saved for you. I hope this is helpful for you.
