Efficiency, as defined by Merriam-Webster is “the ratio of the useful energy delivered by a dynamic system to the energy supplied to it.” For Patterson, that dynamic system is Eaglesoft! Eaglesoft software is chock-full of advanced tools and timesaving resources designed to help you run an efficient office.
As a trainer, my role is to help offices use Eaglesoft to its fullest extent and an easy place to start is by eliminating clicks. One thing that makes Eaglesoft such an amazing piece of equipment is its ability to adapt to its users. There is usually more than one way to accomplish your daily tasks in Eaglesoft; my job is to help you find the one that works best for you, in fewer clicks. Saving clicks may not seem like such a big deal but it is. Time is a limited resource and once lost, you can never make up for it. Saving time throughout your day will allow you to spend more time focusing on your patients, less time focusing on your software.
One place to start would be to add the Patient Summary button to your toolbar. The Patient Summary window displays information such as the patient’s address, birth date, Social Security number, benefits summary, recent account and insurance payments, and basic appointment breakdown for the entire family. All in one window! There is no need to jump from window to window; the Patient Summary is your go-to place. And, if you need more details one simple right-click next to the patient’s name will open the activities menu!
