Part of the reason I have such a passion for social media is because it provides the ability to get to know individuals and build relationships across the country and even the world. It gives you a chance to really listen to the stories people have to tell.
On my first day of work at Patterson Dental, I noticed a mural on the wall in the lobby at the Corporate Office. The mural showed dates going back to 1877. Of course, several key dates were featured such as when Patterson acquired Eaglesoft, but what I was most interested in was the story behind the dates listed on the wall. What happened in between? What key foundations were behind all those key dates that helped Patterson Dental continue to grow for over 135 years? As I sought out information to piece together the Patterson story, I never expected one of the company’s founders, M.F. Patterson, to come to life and tell me himself. I also never expected him to have such a sense of humor.
