Eaglesoft allows you to store, view and present patient images and X-rays quickly and effortlessly, thus enhancing the patient’s experience in your office. One truly great feature for patient education is the Example Images group, which allows you to save your favorite example images to a gallery that’s accessible from any patient’s chart. This gallery allows you to pull up an image from another patient without leaving the current patient’s chart and without providing any protected health information (PHI).

If you have some great images (maybe a beautiful X-ray of a completed root canal or an image of a stunning smile after veneer placement) you would like to add to your gallery, please follow the steps below:

  1. From the Eaglesoft Clinical Window go to Lists | Example Groups.
  2. Select New (or select Edit if you wish to rename an existing example group).

A few examples:

  1. Before/After – Amalgam to Composite
  2. Endo
  3. Veneers
  4. Whitening
  5. Open Eaglesoft Advanced Imaging (this also works with Patterson Imaging).
  6. Select a patient and an image you would like to save as an example.
  7. Right-click on the image and select Image Information | Example Group.
  8. Use the drop-down arrow to select which example group to use.
  9. Click ‘OK’ to save.

Now, to view these example images from any patient’s chart:

  1. In Advanced Imaging select the ‘Exams by Type’ button in the Exam Bar window.
  2. Select the + sign next to Example Images. The Example Image groups will appear below.
  3. Double-click on one of the folders to open the example images.

Example images are a great way to provide patient education and will help your patients discover what to expect from your recommended treatment. Having these images readily available will help to improve the patient experience and the practice lifestyle. If you need any help, please feel free to contact our wonderful support team at 800.475.5036.

I am trying to understand how to update a previously made treatment plan to reflect the current fee schedule and coverage. I have looked in many treatment plans and also tried to create a new one but I keep getting the same message pop up:
“The details of the insurance information are only available for the service code that was last entered!”
I do not understand why this is coming up. Please help me to get past this pop up. Could there be something wrong with the way that we have entered the service codes, fees, or coverage?

    Hi there,

What version of Eaglesoft are you using? I’m not sure what pop-up you are referring to. If you would like to email me, I could assist you further as I need to have a bit more information.
As far as updating your treatment plans to current fees, there are a couple ways to do this.

To update fees on an individual treatment plan:

    1. Open the patients treatment plan and select ‘View All Items’ and then hit the ‘Recalc Fees’ button. This will update the services on the treatment plan to current fees.

To Update Fee Schedule Service Code Fees in Treatment Plans for all patients:

    1. Go to Lists / Fee Schedules / Edit.

    2. Check the boxes here to Update Treatment Plan Fees and / or Update OnSchedule Fees

    3. Click OK to process.

P.S. Please be sure to have a current backup and work w/our support team anytime you run a utility. You can call 1-800-475-5036 for further assistance.
