What happens in Vegas, no longer stays in Vegas. It lives on through various social media channels long after you’ve left and has the ability to reach all around the world before you even leave. This was a great point made by Erik Qualman in his Socialnomics video.

Many of us happen to be in Las Vegas this week for the American Dental Association Annual Session. As we share what we learn at this year’s session through various social channels, how far will that content go? Well, that depends on who is actually listening and how you are communicating with them. In order to effectively communicate with your fans, followers, circles, etc. you first need to understand the differences between the different types of social networks and the nuances of communicating through a specific platform. Here is a great infographic, originally posted by Mashable, which shows how the different social media networks stack up against each other.
