Real Practice Example
Dr. Dee Dee Meevasin (Las Vegas, US) introduced the CEREC workflow early on in her practice. Starting with an intraoral scanner and a milling unit, she soon expanded into further technology to make the patient experience more enjoyable and engage her practice team. Today she uses Primescan 2, CEREC Primemill and SpeedFire, managed via DS Core, alongside Primeprint Solution.

Case: A 42-year-old male patient with caries and fracture lines on molars (positions 2 and 15), who clenches and grinds. Both teeth were restored with zirconia crowns (CEREC MTL Zirconia). Starting from an existing status scan, a treatment scan was performed in DS Core, then opened in CEREC Software for crown design on a dedicated design station. The design was uploaded to DS Core to initiate milling with CEREC Primemill. Using Super Fast Milling Mode, one crown was produced in about 5 minutes, followed by heat treatment in CEREC SpeedFire in under 15 minutes. The crowns were then prepared and seated—all in a single visit. To protect the patient’s new smile a splint was manufactured with 3D printing solution Primeprint.
