Wow! Where to start … how about at the beginning? The beginning of CEREC 27 and a half officially starts in 16 days. If you ask anyone on our CEREC Marketing Team right now about where you should be at 9 a.m. PST on August 16, 2012, we would all say something like, “Be in your seat at CEREC 27 and a half … and hold on … ’cause it’s going to be a thrilling ride!”

If you’ve already registered, booked your hotel and bought your ticket … perfect! In fact, our room block at The Venetian just sold out last week. As an alternative to the now more than $500/night going room rate, we’ve secured a block of rooms directly across the street at Treasure Island. For more information on room rates and to book a reservation, click here.

A few tips

  • With more than 4,000 people expected to attend, avoid the crowd and go through on-site registration to pick up your credentials and show bag on Wednesday.
  • I just mentioned this, but really, be in your seat when the show starts! Refer to the first bullet point to see how you can easily make this happen. Then enjoy a leisurely breakfast and chat up old friends before making your way into the General Session.
  • While temps outside the building will soar over 100 degrees, the temps inside the building can feel more like a meat locker. Do wear layers, or else you’ll be buying a CEREC lab coat from the “souVeneer” shop … actually, that’s not a bad idea!
  • Peruse the CEREC 27 and a half website and blog…with so many great stories from doctors, it will really get you in the mood to celebrate!

Schedule at a glance

Thursday, August 16

Start with breakfast, then enjoy a day of hearing from some of the biggest names in dentistry! Wrap the evening at the Welcome Reception. Want to catch a show? Thursday or Friday night would be good times to make plans post 7:30 p.m.

Friday, August 17

Get outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine at the Hang Over 5K Fun Run! Then back inside for breakfast and morning breakout sessions. Finish the day with more fantastic keynote speakers and celebrity entertainment provided by comedians Steve Martin & Martin Short!

Saturday, August 18

Much like Friday, this day starts with breakfast and breakouts, followed by keynote speakers in the afternoon. The celebration really kicks into gear later that night with the Red Carpet Bash and a half party at TAO!

You know that thing you missed, and all your friends excitedly talked about it for months and years later? Well, this is that thing if you’re not planning to be there! Hope you can join us!

For the rest of you, see you in Vegas!
