Eaglesoft version release 21.20 is now available to download and install. As a top choice for dental offices for over two decades, Eaglesoft 21.20 is a smart choice for your business. Making the transition to Eaglesoft or upgrading to this most recent version is easy with Patterson Dental’s unrivaled support and training.
Here are the new features in version 21.20, based on user feedback, that will help you maximize the efficiency of your practice, keep your Eaglesoft security protocols up to date and continue to address HIPAA compliance requirements.
Note History detail
The Note History screen has been updated in Eaglesoft 21.20 based on customer feedback. Now, the Note History screen will display longer notes in their entirety without the need to scroll through individual cells. The note detail can be collapsed or expanded as needed. Additionally, the entire note will now display on the printed note history report.
Server performance optimization
Eaglesoft 21.20 uses a 64-bit application server allowing you to use more available RAM on your server which will increase performance as multiple users work simultaneously. Because of this change, the ‘server/workstation’ installation is no longer available on a 32-bit Windows operating system.
The image processing method within Eaglesoft 21.20 has also been updated to decrease the time required to load images in the chart. Now the 50 most recent images will load in the chart image pane when opened. If any teeth are selected, the 50 most recent images for those teeth will load. The next 50 most recent images will load when “Load More” is selected.
ADA 2019 Dental Claim form and ICD-10 updates
With this update, the ADA 2019 Dental Claim form is available; the 2000 and 2002 forms have been removed. The 2006 and 2012 ADA Dental Claim forms can still be accessed if you need to submit claims to insurance companies that still require those forms. The International Classification of Disease codes within Eaglesoft also default to ICD-10 with this release.
New gender option
An “Unknown” gender option, in addition to Male and Female options, is available throughout Eaglesoft 21.20 to accurately represent patients. If unknown gender is selected for a patient, it will be reflected anytime a gender field appears within Eaglesoft from OnSchedule, Claims, Prescription Writer, Eaglesoft Mobile, report filters and more.
For modules that patients may interact with directly, like Fast CheckIn, the gender selection now includes an “Other” option, in addition to Male and Female options. A selection of “Other” will translate back to Eaglesoft as “Unknown.”
The CareCredit experience now features a more modern user interface and includes the ability to send an entire day of scheduled appointments to determine if patients are pre-approved for the CareCredit credit card prior to patients visiting the office. Payments can now be processed with the CareCredit Mastercard and a Cardholder ID type can be entered. Partial refunds can also be processed and both payment and refund information will write back to Eaglesoft 21.20. Learn more about this feature in this short video.
Eaglesoft 21.20 includes new security features to ensure continued Eaglesoft HIPAA compliance and to mitigate potential data breach attempts impacting Eaglesoft. Standard user permissions have been updated and 3rd party software integration has been restricted to only those software vendors that meet Patterson’s rigorous security standards, HIPAA requirements and other terms and conditions that are important to safeguard your Eaglesoft data.
Exposure meter updates
The exposure meter within Eaglesoft now accurately displays the true exposure level for Schick AE Sensor images.
