1. OnSchedule Templates FAQ 62
Practice management consultants are increasingly recommending the use of scheduling templates to help offices organize their schedules in a logical and profitable way. By looking at your schedule and determining the kind of appointments you need to meet your production goals each day, you can set up a template that helps guide the rest of the practice staff in scheduling. With this tool, offices can “schedule smart” for maximum profitability, instead of just filling random holes in the schedule.
2. Custom Time Units FAQ 11274
Many practice management software systems only let offices schedule time in 10 or 15 minute blocks. However, Eaglesoft gives you new flexibility to change time units at will, and to change them as often as needed. The time units can be changed in five-minute increments, helping offices schedule more precisely and eliminate wasted time. This can be a very powerful tool for increasing productivity, or just for maintaining flexibility.
3. Find Free Time FAQ 11301
The “find free time” feature is a pop-up window that users can dock on their schedule and refer to for a running list of their next available appointment times. With this tool, instead of looking at the schedule one day at a time to find holes, users can see at a glance when their next opening is. This by far is my favorite new feature!
4. Scheduling Staff Member Time
Each appointment can be broken down into detailed provider time. In “Provider View,” each provider will appear in his or her own column, and scheduled appointments will display under all providers attached to that appointment. If a crown prep takes a total of 90 minutes on the schedule, the doctor’s time should only be blocked for the time in which he or she is actually in the room. Another cool feature is the ability to assign appointment time to all staff members in the office, not just service providers. You may want to schedule the patient for a two-hour appointment but 30 minutes is going to be spent reviewing the treatment plan with a patient care coordinator.
Smart scheduling with pre-set appointment types and using the provider view will make managing chairtime a breeze! These are just a few examples of the powerful tools Eaglesoft offers to maximize productivity and minimize wasted time spent “clicking” around the schedule.
